Default HID bulb replacement

I have been searching for the answer to this question for a while now and have not found the answer. I have a 97 integra gsr and the previous owner installed an aftermarket HID kit. I believe it is an 8000k ( purpleish hue ). My question is ; can I simply replace the bulbs with some 4300K or 6000K to change the color, or do I have to replace the ballast as well? any help here and understanding of my ignorance will be much appreciated.

You can replace them as long as the connectors are the AMP style.

AMP style ? ..

OP, take the bulb out of the headlight and look at the base to figure out what bulb you have. Purchase same bulb at 4300K or 6000K and you're done. Real HID OE bulbs (( that are common )) are either D1S / D1R / D2S / or D2R . Aftermarket bulbs could be re-based styles h7,h11,9006, ect ..
