Default Fusebox issue

Ok, bought a 2000 Honda Accord EX coupe. One small problem, at least in the immediate sense.

I have a burned out socket in my underhood fusebox. See pictures...

The burned out socket controls the Driver's headlight highbeam. Unfortunately, it looks like nothing is saving that socket. Now, I will replace the fusebox as soon as the snow melts enough that I can get out into the local u-pull lot. The question is, what can I rig up temporarily to make the high beam work? Without it working, my inspection guy won't inspect it. However, he's not going to take a super close look at it enough that if I throw in a wire, he'll fail it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, if anyone is aware what that red, fused wire is that obviously caused the fusebox to crack, that would also be appreciated.

The red fused wire is not original; someone added that to route power.

You might be able to pull the box out and do pull the underside wires out through the side like the red one there and put in a new fuse and that may hold?

Well, I pulled the fusebox out, and took it apart. It appears that the red wire was the previous owner's attempt at fixing the burned out socket. However, it doesn't seem to actually do anything. There was no fuse in it when I checked it, and I even rerouted the pre-fuse wire to a hot lead in another spot of the fuse box, and all it did was make the headlights go out all together, until I opened the driver's door and they went back on. I have no clue what's going on here, going to replace the fuse box and see what happens from there, unless anyone else has a suggestion.

It sounds like you are grounding out somewhere, if you have a multimeter start back tracing that wire from the hot lead to headlights with the door open

Not sure how much experience you have with these, but let me run something by you and see what you might think?

I was reading elsewhere on the interwebs about driver's side highbeam not working. I should have also mentioned that my highbeam dash light does not come on when I click the highbeams on. So, having searched and searched, I came across this...

"One high beam works one doesn't, gauge cluster does not light up
Low beams work fine but when I click to high beam only the passenger high beam comes on and driver's side low shuts off completely. The gauge cluster and the cruise control button do not light up as well. I replaced the instrument panel fuse that was blown with the same amperage as factory recommended and still no illumination. I also replaced both headlight bulbs as well and still no high beam on the driver's side and the blue light does not come on when set to high beam either. Any thoughts would be great, I'm stuck!

Thanks"

Which got the reply...

"Most honda have a light module under driver side dash panel and this module is often shortcut or burned by the inside (brown connecter)"

My thought here is that when the wahoo was hooking up the HID's, he might have caused the fuse box damage, which ended up blowing the DRL module under the dash. What is the likelihood of that happening?

Logically that makes sense that may have been what happened

Ok, after some further research, and opening up under the dash, I found this...

That is the C301 connector, and it looks like it's the 12 Canada: RED/WHT (Headlights) pin. I didn't realize this was a Canada vehicle, but what can you do. Anyway, any recommendations on how to fix this?

The schematic has this...

Ok, further explored, tracked it down into the C201 connector, the Red/Yel is burned out there as well... It almost looks like I would need a complete wiring overhaul. Ugh, any suggestions here?
