how hard is this to do?

 

It will fit. D1S is actually a D2S.. but with the ignitor on the bulb. You just need to secure it. I have seen a picture of someone using a screw on the side of the base to hold it in.

 

Ok thanks, I'm pretty sure I've seen the pic you're talking about, but that was about all I found out about it. I'm new to retrofits, what else would I need besides the projectors and shrouds? Just D2S ballasts and ignitors?

 

You can get ballasts that have integrated ignitors already. Most of them come like that.

 

Would I have to use all OEM components or could I use a PnP D2S Kit? If I went this route could I still secure the D2S Bulb?

 

You can get a PnP Kit. Just make sure you get D2S AMP connectors. They run around $12-15 on ebay
