Default ? about HIDs

anyone that has a wire tuck on their engine with HIDs where are you hiding the box? I would like it to be hidden so that it looks better.

Many people install the ballasts behind the bumper cover.

You want them to be as far away from water as you possibly can. Bumper is a no-no. If there is room under the headlight, then mount them there upside down to protect them in case water does get in. Because if water does drip from the headlight down to the ballast, because it is mounted upside down, it will not touch the ignitor. However, this varies on whichever ballast you are using to begin with. Aftermarket kits you can use the custom bracket and mount them with the ignitor pointing down. If you mount them with the ignitor pointing up, condensation and moisture will develop on the ignitor causing rust. Such rust will eventually eat away the wiring on the ignitor and your ballast will fail. Ballasts from water damage are not replacable under warranty.
