Default What are the ITB's of choice?

On a K24 that is to see some track use but also street use. What is the ITB of choice, OBX, Kinsler, Jenvey or Toda? Or perhaps another I'm not familiar with? The engine resides in a Lotus Exige and was a JDM import. My wife drives this car too so if it misbehaves or displays poor manners there will be hell to pay, potentially relegation to the carport...the car, not me.

On a mild to moderate built K24, you will make more power with a conventional intake manifold and a single throttle body. This combination is FAR more civilized than ITB's are... they basically work well at two positions: Full throttle and off. Since the wifey wants a car that isn't cantankerous, I suggest you forget about the ITB plan.

That is false statement, well tuned itb's are very precise also in partial throttle. This is why people use them in rally and track, you have much better throttle control. Alpha-N method is mainly for that specific use, not the best for the street use but doable.

I have seen well mannered. well behaved street tuned ITB's. I just don't know the details. I have also seen the poorly tuned ones that give ITB's a bad reputation. I'm currently talking to the folks at Hayward Performance. I believe they may be able to help me with a set of Jenvey ITB's.

So, you called my statement false and then agreed with me. Gotcha.

Well tuned ITB's require a ton of tuning... which costs money. Even well tuned, they are a bit temperamental... especially on the street. Now even well tuned, ITB's will NOT make more power on a mild to moderate modded K20... certainly not in the mid-range. So if you are thinking ITB's because of power, you are misguided. If it is just because they look cool and sound unique... you do you.

Kinsler's or Jenvey's would certainly be a nice set. The OBX's are worse than junk. This answers your original question. As for the rest of the information I provided... what do I know, I am just a guy on the Internet... and I didn't tell you what you wanted to hear.

Read again. To be clear, I agree with you that for daily street use single tb and manifold with speed/density-method is way easier route.
False statement is that itb's works fine only off/ full throttle. Alpha-N needs lot of work, but it is also doable.
