Default The unwanted engine.

Hey guys. I recent got a free K24Z2 engine. I researched long and hard but have come out with even more questions. I looked at mounting kits, k-series swap kits, etc., and it is all for the K20A/K24A's. I emailed HASPORT and they said "it requires a special block bracket on the timing side and different wiring to wire it up." Then if there are ever posts on the Z2 its about swapping a K24A head on it or even people saying to sell it and use that money to get an A2 or it's all custom made stuff. I have an EK and EG civic and possibly a CB7 soon. Also the wiring issue comes up because none of the wiring is for the Z either. I don't want to be like those people who ask without googling but I've got nothing. I'm honestly not that mechanically inclined. I've just been learning mostly on my own with fixing my '95 G20 or some of my other friends but it's never something more than doing a starter, battery, steering knuckles, etc. It's all the "easy jobs" I guess.

As demotivating as it sounds should I just try selling my engine or looking for a 2008-2012 Accord LX blown motor to just make it a direct fit?

EDIT:
After researching more and emailing HASPORT (about their mounting) and then searching on my own aswell I got these links:
Hasport Chromoly Shaft Axle Set - For use w/ K-series Swap - w/ K24 Manual Intermediate Shaft HP-CBKAX
CBK K-series Mount Kit 90-93 Accord – Hasport Performance
UKBB Universal K-series Block Bracket – Hasport Performance
10th Gen Civic/Accord Shifter Cable Adapter Bracket for K24Z2/Z3/Z7 Tr – ACUITY Instruments
K-Swap Shifter Adapter Plate for RSX Shifters – ACUITY Instruments

I am still looking for a K24Z wire harness conversion for a CB7

The Z is a challenge because the crank sensor moves to the flywheel end of the crank and changes the tooth pattern.

And the timing cover changes shape so no easy swap the timing covers to get the crank sensor back on the timing side. K power or someone makes a billet timing cover to fit a Z and use the old style crank sensor.

The challenge with keeping the Z timing is the Honda ECU of that generation is fully can bus making integration interesting. Or you move to a standalone. See also integration hell.

It's not an impossible problem just an expensive one with a certain degree of knowledge required.

I appreciate your response. Would the standalone be something like this?
Chassis Adapter

K24Z3 Wire Harness

None of those are standalone PCMs. Hondata is a tool to adjust the tune on a stock PCM. The other two are just wire harnesses for the stock PCM.

A standalone would be like AEM, Fueltech, Haltec. Those are also going to be a steep learning curve and a real challenge to fully integrate.
