I currently have a 7g civic, I blew the motor and I was woundering if it is possible to do a k24a2 for under 4k. Thanks

 

k24a2 longblocks can be had for 1500-2k, so it's definitely possible.

You can pickup a k24a2 for around a grand if you wait for one to pop up. A trans will run you 500-600 for a basic k20a2 trans maybe a bit less if you go the 5 speed route. You can do it for under 4 grand if you are smart about it.
