Got my 2002 rsx type s in November 2022 from dealership with about 140k miles. Car drove amazing for about 3 months, then I started noticing on highway it was slightly slower and took more throttle to keep speed, after a little the problem got really bad and would struggle to accelerate at all without dropping gears and rising rpms to like 4k, the problem was way worse on up hill, eventually got a too lean code so I swapped the pump, filter and regulator. That cleared my code and slightly helped the acceleration, but only for about a week or so, bogging would get worse and worse till I pulled pump inspected it and reinstalled it would slightly improve for about a week again. The too lean code never came back buy I decided to replace all lines and have injectors sent to be cleaned and flow rated, I ended up getting the DeatschWerks return kit and the injectors cane back solid, still no fix. I then inspected the timing chain and tensioner and all seemed good but I'm no expert maybe I missed something. I then got new ngk spark plugs and coil packs, new map, new o2, tested tps and even straight piped my cat. All to no avail. The clutch doesn't slip and the gears aren't rough but I've never serviced the transmission and idk if it ever was. I'm beginning to think the motor or transmission needs some serious service. I'm no tuner but I got a ktuner to tune in future and upload logs for now, I'll upload a log of some light throttle pulls and WOT pulls in 3rd gear from 3krpm to 6krpm, you will see it takes about 10 seconds on flat straight. The air fuel shows about 12-13 after I tweaked it in WOT so I know fuel is not an issue unless o2 reading are off, I've got the 05 rsx o2 for the ktuner so should be fine, this is why I'm beginning to believe the motor or transmission is done for. Any help is greatly appreciated I can't stand to see this car sit.
