Icon5 2004 CRV, K24A1

Hello,

I am planning on K swappign My 97 Civic at some point. I have a friend that just came accross a 2004 crv, AWD and is trying to sell it to me for arounf $1500. I think this is the K24A1? Would this be a smart buy or should I be patiant and find a different K series?

I do not have any specific plans for the car, I just want to K swap it eventually. Ive done resurch but I just want some opinions from exerianced people!

AWD manual or automatic?

The transmission is probably worth $1500 if it's a manual in good working order.

If it's an automatic I would pass. The only thing you could use would be the engine and those are sub $300 at most every wrecking yard.
