From an STi for an Si. Wait....... what?
Hey everyone, new guy here. This is my second Honda, although you could probably call it my first, since my first Honda was a 91 Prelude that only lived for about a week when I got it when I was 16. My previous car was a 2004 STi with a bunch of work into it. It had a swapped bugeye front end, widebody, and a bunch of other things done to it, but it was a ticking time bomb. The transmission was replaced with a brand new OEM 6-speed shortly after I bought it, due to a "mod gone wrong" by the previous owner. Over the past 2 weeks the throwout bearing and pilot bearing were replaced. When we looked at the pilot bearing it was solid and didn't move at all. uh-oh. The new pilot bearing was already screaming 2 days later, and that was the last straw. That, combined with all the power steering leaks, coolant leak from a stripped thermostat housing bolt, and the engine smoking when it was cold, meant it was time for something new before it got really expensive. I wanted something new anyway.
I did auto-X then rally-X with it, even winning a few trophies. It was a fun car, but the "Subaru reliability" I had heard so much about didn't seem to apply to my car. I was always replacing parts.
Auto-X mode when it was Plastidipped orange

Rally-X mode

Another reason for getting rid of it was so that I could put more time and money into the real project car, my 68 Corvette.

So here is the Si. Its an 07 with 68K. It already a few parts on it, like an Injen intake, and possible an exhaust. It looks aftermarket, but is very quiet. Its lowered and has a few Mugen parts, like the rain guards and oil cap. It will be a fun DD that I can tinker with. I only have one picture right now from when I got home yesterday, but I will try to take some more today.
