Default Question

I feel like my 94 accord is about to give but due to engine over heating and not reading new O2 sensor and possible water pump failure along with head gasket. Curious on if I can swap my head and put a f23b head on my f22b2 and also if I get a rebuild kit for the f22b1 vtec will it work on my f22b2 non vtec?? Thx

Yes you can use the following ...
f22b1 poa head , your going to need a poa ecu , you can wire in the vtec or just buy the harness for 94-97 accord ex and what ever tranny you have ( manual , auto) . If you go with the h23 intake , youll see a little bit more power in the low to mid range , and take off imporoves alot !! especially if you plan on boosting later on

Thanks I've done some purchasing already based on my ideas.. Here is the following.. I bought f22b2 re ring kit going to slip on f23b head vtec because for some reason the f22b2 head exhaust and Intake are different setup than other f series

IMO you would be better off just ridding yourself of that engine and going with the h22 h23vtec or even f20b of your budget allows you to that is I had a 95 that I put a h22a in it was sooooo much better in every way

And I believe that tooth count is differ on the f23 head could be wrong but pretty sure.but you could just change needed parts to match just a lot more work then what its worth
Im also pretty sure some where on this site there is a head swap forum with all the specs
The f23 head dose flow better from what I'm told

Thanks! I was indecisive but at a 80 percent decided on a route but now I'm reconsidering just re-ringing this engine and sending my head to the shop to reshave it smooth till I earn enough for a f20 swap I'm only rebuilding this one incase of any future blown engines. thank you for your time, you were of great help
