No power to fuel pump

Default No power to fuel pump

I need help I have a 2000 Honda civic si the fuel pump has no power I have power at the fuses I have power going into the relay but none coming out.

If power is going into the relay but not coming out then the relay is bad...

I've tried with another relay that was new and it does the same thing if I just 1 with 7 it'll run and the same with 5 and 7

^^Not necessarily true.

The main relay actually has two relays inside. Each relay is a normally open type relay. When voltage/power and ground are applied to the respective relay coil, it energized the relay coil and closes the respective internal relay contact to allow power through.

There are several power and ground sources necessary for the relay to operate. For example, if the ECM does not send the ground to the relay coil, then no power will be allowed through to the fuel pump.

Very true..it was my assumption that he tested both power and ground at all points entering and exiting the relay. After re-reading the OP, I see that wasn't the case.


Great information tho, the OP needs to test all power/ground points on the relay
