Default Newbie intro

new to the site... always been into hondas or acuras . ive always wanted a civic hatchback and just recently found one on offerup, this younger kid had it and told me he and his uncle had did a swap but thats about all he said, i paid 1500 for it and drove it home.. it needed a bit of attention and i had a few ideas of my own.. the car didnt have much done to it it has a d16a motor and what i remember the kid saying was he and his uncle had the shell and grabbed a motor from a wrecking yard and put it in...ok so i buy a skunk2 manifold for it and was told i needed this and that. now before i continue allow me to say im nothing more than a youtube mechanic... but a fast learner and want to work on my own ride... been watching videos to do a wire tuck and shave the engine bay.... ok so i think im gonna go with the mini me swap i have taken the motor out and started cleaning up the engine bay.. also waiting on a new suspension too.. also ordered a rebuild kit headers a fuel rail and new injectors and a few other parts i forgot what tho... anyways if anyone has any suggestions or see me doing something wrong holler at me

the bustdown

Welcome! This place is far better than any tube vid I've seen for civic work. I think you'll like it here. Most of your questions will already be answered if you look around long enough.
Always, and I mean Always look at a few different opinions before acting.

I'm only knowledgeable about B1bs really so can't offer much advice on your project. But looks like your well underway!

Once you get into wiring and stuff, an 18 volt cordless soldering iron with some watertight heat glue shrink sleeves makes a world of difference vs crimp connectors, or the savagery that is "twist N tape". Both in form, and function.

GL on the project. Just wanted to welcome you to the forums.
