Im wondering if anyone knows about Hrv's?

I have a 2004 1.6 4x4 non vtec engine d16w1
they also come in a vtec d16w5.

I want to change the head on mine to a vtec,
I'm just looking up the ecu's and they have a similar part number.

Can anyone tell me if they use the same ecu if the non vtec ecu is compatible with the vtec engine?

37820-PEL-G01 is a part/n for the vtec ecu and
37820-PEL-G11 is the non vtec ecu.

Any help would be great.
