Hello I have 2 98 civic ex coupe and 1 99 civic ex coupe. One of the 98s is an automatic one is manual , 5 speed. The 99 is automatic. So atm none of my civics run. The 98 auto I'm using as parts car for the other two as the engine is seized up unfortunately because I did not know what I know now when I got it. I won't go into detail right now. I'm currently working on the 99. I am replacing the head gasket as it has blown and is now leaking tan frothy oil. I am also replacing the wiring harness for as the head gasket blew it overheated and fried many of the sensor connectors. I have only been DIYing for a little over a year and have a Chilton and Haynes repair guide but some vthing's can only learned from experience. As this is my first head gasket job can anyone give me good step by step instruction on how to get the old head off? I should have all the tools necessary. Minus the big and highly expensive shop tools obviously.
