Hey guys, what's going on? The name is Austen, 26, from the Cincinnati Ohio area.

I've been on HT for a while now, but never really introduced myself and for the most part (if not all the part) I've just been hiding in the shadows reading threads only when I needed help from Google. I've currently got a 1997 VSM DX Hatchback, nothing special about it. It's even an automatic!

I bought the car from a friend's boyfriend as a daily about 2 years ago and it looked like this.





All I did after that was buy some new struts for it and the Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs, 6000K HID's, and called it a year, or two.



This year I decided to do something different and have a little bit of cash flow running around so I figured why not wrench on it a little, just to get some experience. Just put an eBay fart cannon on it (the old exhaust was actually broken in 2 places and I needed a new one. This one ran me $127 where as an OEM one was going to run me $250) and it doesn't sound too bad, other than the fact that it's an automatic.

Little plans for this year, as it's my daily and I don't care too much for it (although I love Honda's in general, just don't think this 'little engine that could' has too much potential for itself) are painting the interior completely black (all plastics), fixing up the rust around the quarters, depending on how good I am with a paint gun on the interior pieces I'll be building a booth and painting it a dark olive green, already re-lined my door inserts with an olive green and plan on doing my headliner next, 5-speed swap (buddy is giving me his and the pedal assembly out of a shell he has, then I'll have to get misc. parts), and depending how all that goes we will see about other things like rear-disc/5-lug conversions, wheels, tires, upgraded front brakes, etc. If anyone wants to see the door liners and how they've come out so far I have some photos as well.
