I have a 1996 Honda with a mini mi swap, I have a D15B JDM block with D16Z6 heads, whenever I cold start my Honda it runs perfectly fine until it gets warm, then it start to sputter an eventually dies and won’t run for HOURS. I have no clue what the problem is, the intake gasket was going out so I replaced that and it’s doing a little better but still when it gets to temp it doesn’t like running, whenever it gets to temp and dies it turns over but doesn’t want to start. Please tell me what I can do to fix this!!

 

make sure you have the right ecu. and the right cam gear. also check your sensors, and ignition timing

to me it sounds like your fuel/air mix is off because that’s really all that changes from cold to warm. it won’t run for hours after it dies because it has to cool down before it will run the cold start circuit
