Default intro

hey guys. My name is jacob. just joined lol. I have worked on a few cars over the years. I had a 1986 Toyota pickup that I bought from my neighbor. I did a few things with it, I changed the oil, replaced the water pump, put new spark plugs, cleaned the carb etc. I also painted the car with spray cans lol. I am only 16 and I just bought my first honda. I bought a 98 civic ex coupe. The motor had snapped a rod when I bought it about a month ago. I got the car for only $500. I think my oil pump failed causing cylinder 1 or the one on the very left to cese a rod bearing cousin it to snap. All my rod bearings are trashed lol. I haven't decided what to do with the car yet. I almost bought an h22 but figured it would be too expensive since i have a round 1k to put into the car. When the rod snapped it didn't mess up the cylinder too bad but put a few dings in the side, it also spun and slapped the crank girdle to pieces and broke it. I think the block is salvageable but I will need new rods and bearings, a crank and a girdle. I don't know whether or not i'm going to rebuild that engine or get a new one. Lemme know what you think. The car is red and the paint is failing. It has wheels on it but idk what they are probably just ebay ones. I was thinking of bedlinering the car after I got it running. IK IK that's weird to do it on a car but i like the matt finish and feel like it will be more durable and easier to do. I will be keeping the car red just btw.
Thanks for reading! - Jacob
