Default Honda Logo 1998

Hello there
I have joined this site as I have just bought an automatic Honda Logo 1998 (well its registered as 1997 but everything under the hood indicates 1998).
It has 100000 on the clock and hasn't been driven much in the last few years. It seemed to be hesitate at times and didn't seem as smooth as it could have been so I got a automatic transmission place to change the oil and he tweeked it a bit and it was going like a dream! So then I took it to a friend who is a mechanic to get the general check up. He changed all engine belts including cam belt. changed the oil and filter and said everything else was great. But the day after it just doesn't seem right again. In the morning it isn't happy idling and at times feels lacking in power especially on take off. But the weird thing is...its fine in the afternoon! (I know that sounds like a girl sort of statement when it comes to cars). So I took it back to auto transmission place and of course it was the afternoon so it was fine so he suggested I just keep driving it and see if it improves. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
