I just bought my first honda. a 1994 civic dx with a d16y8 motor. I'm what kind of tranny is in it just yet, but plan to find out this weekend. I've ridden honda motorcycles since I was 16 and they are a testament to reliability and durability. So I decided I'd pick up a little hatchback to get some better gas mileage. Also I am pretty new to doing maintenance on vehicles and figured this would be a good place to begin learning. So just want to thank and apologize in advance for all the help I may be asking of you fine citizens.

I will not post any pictures of this car until i can reroute the air filter and patch up the huge hole the previous owner put in it.
