Hey guys, I'm from the bay area, california. I'm somewhat into cars cause its something that we depend on but the technical part of it drives me off like I know how to do the basics like oil change, change distributor, changing tires, head gasket, etc. but as far as the advance stuff like oil pan, water pump, rear main seal, etc I leave it to the shops but it seems like when they fix what they're suppose to, another problems comes up such as smog issues like cat, speed sensor, high voltage, etc. why is that? Should we learn how to do the advance stuff as well? Thanks.
