Took an hour to write a thread for opinions on a quiet exhaust setup and it was deleted? Whats the point wasting my time? Later honda-tech ill just go back to reading and not posting.

A quiet exhaust is subjective to each individual person. How quiet is quiet enough for you?
Now quiet to me is that guy on YouTube, uploader Tim Evans, with the blue civic. You can search his video up where he does a drive by. 2 videos where one is straight pipe, and the other, is heavenly bliss.
Yonaka is on the quiet side. As I see it, money upwards 300+ on exhaust systems for a civic, I would rather pipe my own.

thanks for your reply! I have a 2.5” trubendz piping kit and would like my complete kit to be as quiet as possible since my swap is illegal here in Cali and i want to minimize my chances of getting stopped. I went with 2.5” because i plan on boosting my LS motor with a 300whp goal. Upon research i found 2.5” to be efficient enough for my power goal. Any suggestions on a 2.5” muffler? I was looking at borla since i know they’re higher quality but i want to remain under the radar as much as possible.

The turbo will help keep the noise down little as they function as a muffler. The Vibrant stealth is reasonably quiet as long as its used with a resonator.

thanks for your feedback! I was looking at the vibrant for a minute but couldn’t find the right size muffler for my setup. I needed a 4”x9”x18” oval muffler which is stock size for 88-91 hatch. I ended up going with a magnaflow 2.5” in/out and vibrant resonator with full 2.5” trubendz exhaust kit. Hopefully im not too loud its gonna be about 6 months til i get a turbo kit. I have an LS motor in my hatch still running the stock exhaust its too restricted and my cat is shot. i need an exhaust now since its causing my o2 sensor to overheat and throws a code 1.
