Default Greetings from the PNW

Longtime wrencher, but relatively new to Honda. I've rebuilt some engines and been inside some old-school automatic transmissions. I'm probably not your typical honda-tech member. I grew up on carburetors and points, hand crank windows, no computer controls, manual transmissions and Fords. I suspect a good number of the members here don't know what some of that stuff is and that's why I'm here - they haven't been tainted by the way things used to be. I could spend all day at a u-pull-it type of junkyard (I mean "auto recycler) for fun.

The only Hondas I've owned prior to my Accord were dirt bikes and a lawn mower. About a year ago, I picked up a '97 Accord (see signature) that was supposed to be basic transportation for a new driver in the family but it has turned into a project. This project has led me down a path and I seem to have found myself in a rather unique situation so I'm hoping to draw on the collective wisdom of honda-tech and dig myself out. More on that later in posts to follow.
