Greetings to everyone!
My name is Kyle and am new to the Honda scene. I just recently purchased a 1990 Accord EX (auto). The car has some gremlins and that is why I am here. My intention for this car is a daily driver so comfort, reliability and fuel mileage are what is most important to me. My car is bone stock but has had the engine replaced at some point.
I look forward to learning about this car and interacting with all who are willing to help. In the future, once I have gained some knowledge, I plan to give back and help others who need it!

Welcome!
This is the place to be if you need to shine some good ol UV rays on those gremlins and melt the little buggers away. Just be sure to keep water out of your car else they will multiply like rabbits.
50/50 antifreeze is safe enough though.
You said you had a swapped engine? Somewhere on a flat section of the engine block there should be an engraved set of letters and numbers. Might be hidden under grime and grease. Usually front left of your looking from the front (passenger side), about mid way down.
If you haven't already, find that, and look it up. That will tell you what engine you have. Honda motors, especially 90s ones get swapped all the time. Not all parts fit all motors, so it's very important.
Almost any questions you have are already on this site, and have already been answered. So have a look around. Advanced search is good, set it to relevancy.
Good luck with the degremlinfication!

So I just wanted to give an update on my car.
@Zypher To answer your question the engine is an F22A1
So I have been working out the gremlins for sure. Since my last post I have replaced a a ton of stuff on the car. The list is thus:
- Replaced Upper and lower control arms
- New ball joints
- New rack-and-pinion with new tie-rods
- New Struts
- New Engine Mounts
- New Headlights with new side markers
- Replaced one tail-light housing and one of the rear tail-light harnesses with the "lamp-out" box (Finally cleared the pesky light on the dash >.<
Electrical issues I have fixed so far:
- I had an issue with the VSS. It has been fixed. Please see this thread HERE
- I had a bunch of transmission codes relating to the shift solenoids. I found one of the solenoid plugs was crushed and shorting to ground. Replaced the plug and that cleared all TCU Codes.
- Replaced Primary relay for Cooling fans so now at least one comes on during extended idle times.
Ongoing electrical Issues:
- Driver Side cooling fan does not come on when using a jump wire at the temp sensor. (WILL POST LINK TO THREAD)
- Oxygen Sensor (CODE 1) Active Thread Here
- EGR Sensor (CODE 12) (WILL POST LINK TO THREAD)
- Unknown wire located under Intake above the oil filter (WILL POST LINK TO THREAD)
This list is probably not complete but it is the bulk of everything I have done or discovered so far. If you have any links to my ongoing issues above then I am all ears. Otherwise I will post links to threads I find that fixed my issue or new threads I create. I am categorizing all of this stuff in the hopes that anyone who finds it in the future will be able to easily navigate to the solutions.

Hi Kyle! I'm an old Honda tech, working on them since long before your was built. I don't know the specifics of your problems, but I have a tidbit for you to remember.
This "gremlin" is the biggest I know for '90-'93 Accords, main relays. They can have total failure, but typically though fail in a different way. On warm/hot days, parked with windows up, your car won't start. Leave the windows down, better yet the doors open, the car will start after the interior is well cooled. Usually diagnosed as a fuel pump. The relay is buried under the dash, I think(from memory) it is rectangular and has 7 spade "pins".
