CD5 charging system problem please help
Hello I have a 1997 accord lx but with a f22b1 (vtec engine swapped into it, vtec has never worked but that is besides the point right now)
I was stranded well driving when I lost all power, got the battery charged and rushed it home. Got the alternator tested on the car it tested bad. Got one from the junk yard got it bench tested and it passed the battery still died. The alternator tests bad on the car, it says voltage regulator failed. I put a brand new alternator in and it dated the same thing but test good out of the car. I started checking fuses all that I have found in the car and under the hood seem to be good from what have seen but I do not seem to be getting continuity to the white/green wire from the four white plug on the back of it I can not find much information on this wire in particular. What does it do? Also my battery light does not come on with the ignition on and I believe it worked shortly before this issue started.
Any insight is greatly appreciated I’ve been scrambling over this problem for the last two weeks

Re: CD5 charging system problem please help
First check under-dash Fuse No. 4 (7.5A). Under-dash fuse no. 4 and the Blk/Yel (IG) wire supplies the ignition input that turns on the alternator/regulator assembly.
If there is no, low, or intermittent voltage coming through the Blk/Yel wire to the alternator, the alternator will not charge or have problems charging.
