Blew out N0.2 spark plug.
Hi Everyone. So my wife drives a 2006 Accord LX 3.0. While shopping she said the car will driving rough and sounded weird and check engine light was on. I drove down and plugged in my OBDII device. The diagnostic test detected a misfire in the #2 cylinder. I did a 2 visual check under the hood only to find the No. 2 spark plug was missing along with the coil-pack. I assume I was the culprit as I had installed new plugs about two years ago and hadn't met proper torque on that plug. I really did not want to put too much expense in dealer repairs as it has already 219,000 miles on the odometer. I ordered a time-sert kit and am in the process of performing the procedure with some difficulty as No. 2 is located on the firewall side of the engine. I have successfully cut the new threads into the cylinder head. Now I need to remove all the debris before installing the new sert. I have orderd a new coil-pack and six new spark plugs as I might as well replace all the plugs and make sure I have the torque set properly on the other five plugs. I do not want a repeat of another plug getting loose and grinding away the cylinder threads. My question is: what is the proper torque for a gen 7, Accord 3.0 spark plug.
Thanks for your help.
