Back to the Simple Life
Hi, Guys,
I started out as a mechanic a long time ago, then became a machinist, programer, and ended up a mechanical engineer. I have had a few strokes over the last 2 years, and was pushing myself a little to hard, as a owner of a machine shop, designing and building equipment for US and Global markets. I have started over back at square 1, to just try and get my left hand to work, as the muscle loss is getting bad, and my brain will not concentrate long enough to stay focused for design.
I have decided to start buying Cars at the Auction, repair and sell them to make a living. I had 3 girls, and I bought them all Used Hondas when they first started driving, because they were good quality, always ran, and brought my Girls home every time safe. The upkeep was a breeze, tune ups, axel shaft, routine maintenance, all were faithful Horses, and always delivered value, economical fuel consumption, and peace of mind knowing they would not be stranded, and protected in an accident. These were cars of the 90s.
So here I am to pick a brain or two, as I catch up on new systems, pros, and cons, recalls, and recurring problems, as I try to offer another Dad a quality Carriage for his little girl, at a reduced price, so he can still afford a Beer or two.
Thank you all in advance for your knowledge, insight, and answers to some questions, as I see just how much trouble my adventure gets me in. I will post some pic's and reviews on each of my case studies, from flood damage, body work, engine repair, and over views of cost, and return.
I hope this will add a little back, and maybe I find some things that will make another's diagnoses of the cause of a problem easier in the end.
If any of you want to design a part, and would like a 3 D Solid Model of it, I would be more than happy to provide, Solid Works 13 models, photo renderings, e drawings, or Drawings for manufacturing.
Thanks
