Another try with a Honda
Hi there, new user here!
I'm in Seattle and just had my old 88 Toyota stolen, so recently I got a deal on a 06 Civic LX 2dr coupe with a strong engine and some cosmetic issues.
I once owned a 89 civic cvvc and it was a fun car to drive, and this 06 is even better even with an automatic.
The car was beat up though, needs both front seat belts, needed a battery immediately, dipstick was melted off at about 6" and put a new one in today, serpentine belt was worn and got a new one along with a manual, stereo has error code and tried the dozen numbers I got online and none work to unlock.
And the car needs paint desperately, it will need to be done within a year if I dont want rust, and it was a dark metallic grey. It also has a horrible (rear end) vibration when around 2-3k rpm that seller said was a $150 manifold fix.
So it was an obvious decision to join a well established honda forum to help guide me through the sticky parts that a youtube video can't help me on, or where the shop will cost me my whole paycheck.
My name is John, and thanks in advance for your help and suggestions!
