1998 Accord
I just bought a 1998 Accord with a 4 cylinder and an automatic transmission and 190k miles. The car is mostly beautiful. There's a few scratches and dings that need fixed, but the car has obviously been kept garaged. Regular maintenance and repairs were done. It was originally my parents car, and I sold it when my mother entered assisted living. I knew the guy I sold it to, and I just bought it back when he no longer wanted it. Very odd having my parents' car back now that they are long gone.
This makes two 98 Hondas that I own. The other is a CRV with 240k miles. The paint on it is much worse, but it runs and drives so flawlessly I can't get rid of it. Iy's our dog car, that we take them to a nearby federal reservoir every morning for a walk.
I love the technology in these cars. Enough engine controls and fuel injection that they are reliable, but still simple enough that I can still work on them. I think 98 was the middle of the golden decade of cars.
