Default Won't start

B16 into 89 civic DX I followed the wireing on this link http://hybrid2.honda-perf.org/tech/4gdxtozc.html to the letter for the DPFI to MPFI. I have the Vtec all wired up. Vtec solenoid, Vtec oil pressure senser (also grounded), second 02, and Knock senser. All ground on the engine are hooked up. When I try and start the car the engine light comes on and the fuel pump doesn't come on. It turns over but it doesn't pump any fuel. when I un hook the fuel pump the CEL dims. I put a new fuel pump in, changed the main relay the fuse pannel under the hood. traced all of the wiring 2 or 3 times there is power to the pump but not it will not turn the pump. Can any one tell me what is going on?

Do you have the fuel pump hooked up right. I had a problem with that in my old hatch

I think so it is just plug and play. and I never touched it before I changed it and it pumped fuel to the old engine. also I had to repin the distributer plug because the DX plug was a square plug and the B16 plug was round but that was easy just match colors
