wiring harnesses
i am putting a b16 into a crx. i have heard that it is common to re-use my old harness on my new motor. is it possible to use the harness that came with the new motor? especially since my came with the fuse box and everything. i hope i am being specific enough.

Re: wiring harnesses (keebler65)
No you can't reuse the harness that came with the motor. It's from a Right Hand Drive car and won't fit.
Just reuse your Si/HF (MPFI) harness and add the 4 wires needed for Vtec.
Here is the B16a1 pinouts:

If you have a DX (DPFI) then you are in for a real treat........
Good Luck,

Re: wiring harnesses (keebler65)
i have another question then.......how do i know for sure if its right hand drive? does that mean that the wires come off of the engine from the left side? because on my new motor, they still come off of the motor from the right side (passenger). i guess i want to make sure that the motor that came today is truly the JDM and not the USDM motor.
thanks
