Default will this work?

Ive been losing sleep over this one....Im lookin at buyin a block and head w/ dist. and vtec soleniod from a 96 civic ex for 300, The 1.6L sohc vtec d16y8. What I have now is a 95 1.5L d15b7 non vtec. Could I make the swap work using the original transmission (using the d15b7 clutch on the d16 flywheel to make it work??) and would the d15b7's intake manifold bolt up and work? Headers I could buy aftermarket so that I aint too worried about. The d15b7 starter and alternator should work too right? Any info on any of this would help out a lot. Thanks
