Default Will I pass the obd2 scan?

I have a 2000 DX hatchback that will be getting a 2001 B18C1 swap in a month.I know the obd2b gsr ecu has a immobolizer so I'm thinking about buying a obd2b>obd2a harness and obd2a gsr ecu to get rid of the immoblizer and CEL(I think this will work around it?). When emission time comes up and they plug the scanner into my OBD2 port, Will I pass? Would they care as long as its OBD2? Or will I fail? BTW I live in Massachusetts

go to autozone, have them scan it.

it will say "pass" if you will pass.

As long as your not throwing any cels or there are not more than three "not ready" you should pass. Only difference between obd2a and obd2b are the plugs and imobilizer. As long as the harness you buy uses all the wiring you should be fine.

If you are in Cali then I would have to say no. Any conversion harness would be considered illegal.
