Default Why wont this work......?

Can someone explain to me why a B16A1 will not work if its put into a 92-95 civic?

I know it has to do with OBD's, but when you replace the wiering harness and ECU when you swap it, what prevents it from work right?

Or will it run, but technicly its illegal to do that swap or something?

I am just confused, can some one help me out?

It can be done, but most people will advise against it because it's not as cheap as it may seem.

You will need:
New mounts (HASport makes a mount kit)
hydro to cable conversion
obd1 ecu
obd1 distributor
obd1 injectors
Then you will need to get an obd1 harness or modify your stock civic harness.
I'm not sure about the axles or shift linkage.

In the end, its not much (if any) cheaper to get a crappy tranny and 10 less hp.
