Default Why did my axle explode?

Well axles are stupid I've decided. 2000 GSR chassis, Type R swap..10k miles on the motor, drives awesome for a full day of autoX, then the axle explodes as we turn around in a parking lot after taking a wrong turn. I'm sure my buddies turn in the lot may have been a little over zealous since we just finished a fun fun day of racing, but nothing to warrant the insane explosion of ball bearings and the likes. Anyway, end of rant...

I didn't do this swap, and I don't know too much about the Type R tranny, but if it's a Type R tranny, but GSR hubs and suspension, etc.. just a normal GSR axle will do as a replacement? This car came from some shady crazy asian in New Hampshire, so for all we knew, he sold us a car with 10k miles on the motor and threw in some old axles. Oh well! This is the passenger side btw..
so to sum up,
Type R tranny, GSR hub...which axle? thanks alot

hmm you swapped them with old axles you just answered your old question you should have had them checked before you or whoever put them in for you it happens . Some things arent what they used to be because they are old.

I didn't do the swap, sorry if I didn't make that clear. My buddy bought it from some shady dude, and we're assuming by all the other crappy work he did on the car, and the piles of old axles around his shop, that the axles may not be as "fresh" as the motor...but I STILL NEED TO KNOW WHICH AXLE TO BUY TO REPLACE IT. I didn't mean that as yelling, I just need to know, I don't want the original question to get over looked

Should be a Type-R axle, providing you have the Type-R transmission.

No the spline count on the 90-up Integra axles are all the same, just use your axle as a core and get a remanufactured Type-R axle.
