I have a H22 civic. Right now i have a few problems that i don't know how to approach.... Lets start with CEL codes. Code 1 and 43 on a P28. Thats a o2 sensor and Fuel delivery. Some times they throw at the same time i hear. Well i replaced the sensor and reset the ECU. Well it came back. But there are some symptoms that can be causeing the same things to happen... For instance, sometimes when i start my car up the idle surges like there is a vaccum leak but goes away after 4 surges or so. But i can't find any leaks when i spray with starter fluid.

Well heres the thing. If theres a vaccum leak it could trip code 1, then that trips code 43. Or maybe the surge is caused by bad fuel pressure and trips the o2 as well. HELP WHERE DO I START

 

the 43 is a fuel issue problem usually a rich code if i remember. what is done to the fuel system?

do you have a fuel pressure gauge? maybe reg is bad and is stuck at like 60+ psi...could be an issue.

 

so to test it i would guess hook it up after the regulator??? And what be causing the o2 sensor to trip all the time???

 

no, before the regulator....like at the fuel filter.
