hey people! i here a lot of crap about headers for the b16 in a civic/crx ef.. and when i call shops- they dont want to help. what is the difference between a gsr(b18c) header and one from a dohc del sol or new 99-00 si?? i mean, are the bends different or the port holes a couple of millimeters off? any ways-any help would be nice.. later!

 

the b18c header comes down a lil more from the oil pan.

B16 header is a little shorter since it has a slightly smaller oil pan. If you put a b18 header on your b16 in a crx, the header will hang down more and is prone to scrap on the road (road bumps, drive ways, etc.)

they will fit, but i'd suggest getting a b16 header.

 

oh i see. what about jdm type r headers? will those hang down just as low as gsr headers? i know they have almost identical engine codes. damn headers!

I have a friend with a b16 crx who has a jdm 4-1 header and hangs pretty damn low.

I believe Mugen or Spoon makes a B16 header.
