Default vtec pressure code??????????????? help

I got a 98 b18c5 in my eg. everything is fine except that when i get into vtec for a while (like in third) it throws code 22. I ve checked the screen on the vtec gasket and its good. vtec works so the wiring should be ok. I live in a small town and no one can help. any body have an idea.

do you have the vtec pressure switch hooked up? I didn't notice if you mentioned is the B18C a JDM motor? If so some do not come with these sensors and you have to get one and install it.

Think I found ur problem. Obd2 engines don't use the Vtec pressure switch, only obd1 engine's do. So that's why ur getting the cel for it, cause ur ecu is looking for it when it's not even suppose to be there on ur obd2 engine. So ur fine, if the cel gets annoying just get an obd2 ecu.

I think u're going to have to get an obd2 ecu. Are u saying when the codes comes on it disables ur vtec or when it turns off?

you can use any vtec pressure switch they are all the same. It will screw directly into the vtec solenoid you already have. so just use the one from the d15b and call it a day.
