do jdm motors have vin #'s on them? i have a shortblock and i cannot locate the vin #. please help.

ok im pretty sure about this but i COULD be wrong
the whole vin system is US so all foriegn cars dont have vin numbers its virturally inpossible to track a jdm motor. all you got is a block number below the engine code.

that's what i thought. cause my motor has no vin tag, only the block #. thanks for clarifying.
