Vibration at certain mph with H22
I know this topic has been discussed before, but I was wondering what was found? Tonight when accelerating, my car is smooth up to around 25mph, then vibrates, gets bad around 30mph, then smoothens out again around 40mph. Did it in both 2nd and 3rd gear. Anyone figure out what the problem was? My setup is:
95 JDM H22
Place Racing Mounts
Place Racing Axles
93-96 Prelude Intermediate Shaft
I'm going to check the axles tomrrow. I looked at the mounts briefly and they all look to be in good shape.

Sounds like your axles are binding. Is your car really low? I have not had any experience personally with the Place racing axles, but make sure they are properly seated and all the way in. Maybe you need to run the Accord intermediate shaft instead of the Prelude, but that's just a guess. Ask Poison, he's a genius.

There's been issues with vibration at 30 mph that other users have been having.
I haven't personally experienced this vibration, but other h22 hybriders have. I know Jason KiDD has, same with cccya.

lol I dont get any vibration at 30mph. Mine is more like from start to stop. I am going to get the front wheels checked out and maybe balance the wheels over again just to eliminate those as factors.. Maybe you should do the same if you havent done so already..

I would say start by replacing your axles one of them is bad or the wrong length. I had this problem also and it turned out to be the driver side axle. HTH

Might find some useful info in there, especially regarding use the Prelude joints since the cup is deeper and allows more play for the shaft.

You guys that are running the teg axles with the prelude inner joint where do you guys get the prelude inner joints? Where do you take the axles to get the inner joints put on the teg axles?
I asked everyone around in my area if they knew of a place that would do it and noone knew where I could get it done at. So I went out and bought custom axles from Upgrade Engineering. They have held up fine. I think all they are though is aftermarket axles but basically designed with prelude inner joints on the 90-93 teg axles.
