Trying to ref my k-swap
I have a 93 hatch w/ a k20 type-s. I'm using a stock engine harness w/ a hybrid racing sub-harness, i've wired up the proper e-vap things and wired up an immobilizer so i can use my type-s ecu. THE PROBLEM... my ecu doesn't store memory 4 its self tests. In trying to figure it out, ive pulled my map sensor witch gave me a check light, then i shut off the car and plug the sensor back in but when i restart the car the check light is gone. The check light should stay on until its cleared with a scan tool. If anyone has/had this problem on there set-up what did u do or r trying i want 2 b.a.r. this thing so any help would b great THANKS!
I've already made the fuel system returnless, and its running the e-vap test(s) fine on the scan tool. My problem is that my ecu doesn't store the check lights. On a stock rsx the under hood fuse box (fuse 9) is the back-up, but it goes to the audio unit, DLC, gauge assembly Immobilizer receiver, mutiplex, and security unit but from there none of those goes to the ecu. Is it something in the gauge system or the muliplex that i need to store this check light info, What wire or part am i missing from a stock rsx that lets there self tests/ check lights stay memorized

Whats needed...
-EG Your willing to cut up (for gas tank install)
-Complete RSX Gas Tank
-RSX Harness
-K20A2 ECU
-TSX Header
-Cat
-All RSX Smog Equipment
As far as cost goes, Most of the work is fabracation. The best/cheapest way to do it would be to buy a wrecked complete RSX and swap everything over.
The car also has...
-Complete RSX Dash (no air vents)
-RSX Steering Column
-RSX Ignition w/Working Immobilizer
-RSX Signal/Wiper Controls
-DC5 Type R E-brake
-DC5 Type R Center Console

</TD></TR></TABLE>
So you would need to get a stock TSX header and cat to fit in a EG chassis.

thats the original thread he started.
Here's a newer one someone else made recently. You could both bring them back from the dead if you wish.

hey man i have 05 ep3 with the a3 i have pulled my map off before shut the car off plugged it back up and the light was gone too so i dont think its the ecu. havnt tried on any other k motors or k ecus though
Thanks for all the replys and the possible help, i talked with someone that suggested i try rewiring my main relay or run 2 relays because the k gets its memory power through the relay. I still need to find out what pin(s) on what connector (A, B, E) i have to use. I already have most of the "whats needed" list except im doing this with my stock gas tank, the evap stuff came out of a newer model honda
