I just did a motor swap from a 99 civc si to a 2000 gsr!!! After i put the gsr motor and tranny i couldnt put the shifter into 3rd and 4th gear!!! It would just grind...and if i push the the shifter harder into 3rd and 4th gear it would grind even louder!!! My question is... is the syncros bad or is it the shift linkage??? I am using the shift linkage off of the 99 civic si on the 2000 gsr...so do i need to replace the shift linkage too 2000 gsr??? HELP!!!

Sounds like you got a bad tranny. Shift linkage should not matter - the only issue you may encounter is the linkage rubbing against the o2 sensor, but that wouldn't prevent you from shifting smoothly.
