Okay. I have the price for the complete engine and instalation and new exhaust. Thats is 4000 flat. But I am wondering what the cost would be for the shocks to compensate for the extra weight and all the ****. For 4000 my car would be running and legal again, but are there any other things I need to look into besides the actual engine swap. The swap gives me everything I need, mounts, axels, ECU, etc. But I am worried I am getting in over my head.

 

my costs:
swap - 1950+s/h=2100 (ECU, motor, tranny, etc.)
mounts - 425
engine harness - 115 (didn't have stock one)
shift linkage - 85
Driveshaftshop.com stage 2 hybrid axels - 700
got aftermarket headers, cause they cut mine - 128 (cheap-un's)

think that's it...doing it myself, so no labor, but that is a total of $3553
the axels are rated for 400 whp on slicks, so you don't have to get them

 

3996 installed
w/ ha sport mounts
plus clutch, belts fluid etc.
get ground control springs with custom rate springs 600 in the front and 500 in the rear

 

isn't 600 and 500 a little harsh for daily driving?
