Default Swaps / Prices please explain

I am close to ditching my D15.
Prices i have gotten for engine/transmission
B18b - $1000 - 140 hp
B18C1 - $3000 - 170 hp
B18C5 - $5000 - 190 hp

I am in the NYC area in NJ these are prices i have been told by friends and people who sell the engines.

B20b with GSR transmission - $2000 - ???hp

the B18b prices mean i am discounting D series engines those swaps are not that much cheaper.

For those people who need to change their engines (my car has been a commuter for a long time and has 200k miles), own a civic, and like the sound of 200 hp...

Does this mean u pay 2000 for 30 more hp or 4000 for 50 more hp??????

Default Re: Swaps / Prices please explain (lamacchina)

I have a 95 EJ with 96 JDM B18C-R, it was the best thing that I have ever done to the car.

I had 341,XXX miles on my D15B7 before I got rid of it.

I got the motor for like $4300, and it's not just about HP.

The Torque feels great...........
