Default swapping for a jdm B18C5

i probly got the engine code wrong, but anyways...

i'm replacing my B18C1 from my GSR and replacing it with a '99 jdm Honda type R engine and i was wondering if anyone could fill me in on any smog or legal issues i might encounter with swapping for a japanese motor.

any advice or opinions concerning the swap would be really helpful too because this is my first swap and i'd like to get it right the first time.

thanks

The JDM ITR's are just B18C...there is no number after the C.
any advice or opinions concerning the swap would be really helpful too because this is my first swap and i'd like to get it right the first time.
Personally, I would put in a JDM H22A.

In an integra, i'd recommend the h22 instead too

Bigger motor.
Yields more horsepower and torque right off the bat.
It would be cooler to say, "I got an H22 powered teg".
Probably cheaper too.

Personally, I would not take the time to do the B18C swap. I would just do stuff to the B18C1 motor. If I were going to take the time and spend that big money, the b18C would not satisfy my appetite.

Sorry I cant help with the smog issue. Tennessee dont care, and neither do I.

not smog legal, better hope they dont look at the motor close, get it as stock looking as possible.
you may have to just use the gsr head temp. to use all the smogg crap the gsr has.
good luck

Why dont you spend 4 grand plus to build your old motor? I dont care how many miles are on it. Cant be a ton since its obd2.
