I finally broke down and decided an engine swap is in the near future since I have decided to leave my ITR stock. At any rate, I own a '90 Integra RS 4dr.

1) What would you guys suggest for the easiest swap? I am looking at a either a B18C1 (GSR), B18C5 (ITR), or H22A (Prelude). I know that the Integra Engines will pretty much be the same., but I am pretty sure I am going to run into problems with my current tranny being cable and not hydro.
2) What tranny would some of you recommend in my case?

There are kits that can convert hydro to cable. Might be able to work something out in reverse.

Why not just swap in a first gen B16A. I got one in my 90 CRX and I love it. Also, I don't know if it has been tried or if it works, but could a cable tranny like the S1 or Y1 bolt up to a B18C??
