speedometer compatibility problem.

Default speedometer compatibility problem.

Here it goes again!!,
I got a d15b in my car, tranny got an electronic speedometer, My car is a 1991 civic DX Hatch, so the problem is that the speedometer type on a 1991 dx is usually Cable type, How can I hook me up a speedometer??? just add an external one??? anybody nowing a good brand ?? pics if possible ?

you can get a sir cluster. They need a electric vss. so you will be good.

i have the same prblem because i have an h22 in my ef hatch and i need to fine a gauge cluster to put in

yeah...personally i would get a SiR Cluster. They look much better and use the electronic VSS. I've got a similar problem, but just backwards. I've got an SiR Cluster with my Stock CRX Si engine. So i've got to drop in an electronic VSS in the tranny.

But yeah, the swap is fairly simple to do, just some wiring within the car...

ruiner17 I was thinking about remooving the electronic vss, on my d15b tranny, will a cable speedometer adapter is made by someone ??

Just use the cable drive from your original 91 DX transmission.

Like the guy above said, take the cable type speedo drive gear out of your old tranny and install it in the new one. fits with no problems.
