my friend has a si hatch with a b18b, gsr tranny, stage 3 clutch, cold air intake, and 2.5inch exhuast...he ran at the track today
r/t... .103
60'... 2.635
330... 7.058
1/8... 10.632
mph... 69.26
1000... 13.707
1/4... 16.289
mph... 87.81
feels as if something isnt right...like his trap should be higher at least. Thinks it could be a broken piece on his throttle body which is probably causing the air flow to not go into the intake manifold smoothly...its like in a shape of a "V" and about 1 inch wide gap...so basically the throttle body looks like a "C" instead of a "O" if u can picture that. Could this drop some hp preventing his trap to be higher? Or do you think he should check his timing? Also he knows his 60ft wasnt good...so how do u guys think he can improve on that? Like where are u guys launching at in your b18b's? Thanks..

i wouldn't be happy with that time, depends on his/her driving, the broken intake manifold would only increase air flow
, i would be checking over everything, may even want to do a compression check

you have to realize there are a 100 reasons for a slow time. But, I can tell you a 2.6s 60' foot time is horrible. And you should be at the very least running mid 15s.
Also, it doesn't really matter where everyone else is launching on their b18bs... your friend's will still be different. Find the highest launch RPM with the least amount of wheel spin. It just takes time and practice, god knows I'm still horrible.
