Default sleeper b16

i have been thinking about making a sleeper b16. I want to put a ls crank in a b16 block but i have been reading that you will need custom pistons or rods and that you have to notch the block to make the crank fit. does anyone know how reliable this setup be and will the be the same displacement as a ls vtec even though you will need custom pistons or rods to stop the pistons from hitting the head?

you need custom pistons and stock size ls rods

ericksracing sell the pistons but they are 11.5:1 c/r so if you a lower or higher c/r just call them

i went on to zealautowerks and did there b series calculator it said with a b16 block and head with ls crank, oem 3 layer head gasket, b17 rods, custom pistons 82mm (6.19 Dome (cc)26.19 Comp Height (mm))
i would have a Static Comp Ratio 11.94:1
Effective Comp Ratio 11.84:1
Displacement 1880.04cc
Rod / Stroke Ratio 1.48:1
Piston-to-Deck Height 0.022in

how does this setup sound

you cant use oem pistons have to use custom pistons

the pistons will bottom out with shorter rods

buy some used ls eagle rods and ericksracing pistons and call it a day
