are thiere any identifying marks on the Skunk2 Manifold to see if it acctually is one??? the reason im asking is that i found a good deal on one from someone in california its almost too good to be true.. $80 for one including all the gaskets... anyway are there any marks or inscriptions that set them apart from any other intake manifold? thanks for your help.

he said that he just moved to cali from washington and that the manifold was off his friends car that got "totaled" he is kinda sketchy. he said that i should send half the money to a p.o box in washington but he says hes in cali right now. but i checked my caller id and it was a washington area code... haha i dont know what to do.

there are dimples that are inscribed almost in the throttle body flange. FOr thr R, GSR, and b16 models, there are different numbers of dimples, but they should be present...1,2 or 3 of them

this wasnt on ebay this was a local forum from where i lived i posted a want add and he answered.... i havent talked to him since yesterday im still debating on weather to trust him or not he seems nice but his story is kinda sketchy... ill give it some more thoughts....
skunk2 intake manifold has this black serial number on it, but that can be wiped off with brake cleaner. best way to tell, is the coolant hole. the itr one has a square-shaped coolant hole while the skunk2 has a circular one on the mating surface. i think there's extra hole drilled to fit the two type of iacv sensor. the itr one only takes the '92-up si, ex, gsr sensors iacv sensors. and, if the manifold was built for non-pr3 heads, then it's a skunk2 manifold. you could mod the itr one to fit gsr, but it'll be noticeable. i got both manifolds, but using the itr one though. anybody want to buy my bare/used gsr skunk2 manifold for $260 and in the sf area to pick it up???
